A fellow of the Chartered Association for Certified Accountants for over 20 years, admitted as an honorary Chartered Accountant (CA [ANZ]), Mary has had an executive career in industry, HE and Professional Education. Previous executive roles include senior leadership in HE and industry and Director of Learning, ACCA Global.  

Experienced in global delivery and digital transformation of education, Mary is passionate about accessible education. She contributes to the Kandel Group and its affiliates by sharing her extensive strategic, regulatory and commercial experience.

A Commissioner on the all-party think tank, the HE Commission, a TEF Panellist, a British Accreditation Council (BAC) council member, a JISC education expert panellist and an education expert on the ACCA Global Forum for Education. A strong advocate of academic development, Mary currently has a Visiting Professorship at Staffordshire University, is a Principal Fellow of the HEA and a council member and Chair of Audit and Risk for the Architectural Association. Mary joined our Board in 2019 and her experience, skills and outlook make her an invaluable asset for our company.
